Grant Martin - Keys

Grant graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a degree in Music, Commercial Composition and Technology.  Musical Director on the UK/Hong Kong tour of Avenue Q, he also toured with Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Previous shows also include: We Will Rock You; Rent; Into The Woods; The Drowsy Chaperone; Copacabana; Spring Awakening; Little Shop of Horrors; La Cage Aux Folles, Putting It Together and many more, along with prominent pantomimes including The Grove Theatre in Dunstable and the Theatre Royal Bury St. Edmunds. 
 

Grant spent several years as Musical Director for Royal Caribbean International, travelling and performing from Alaska to Argentina.  Having worked for 3 years with Peel Entertainment, Grant now continues to work in that industry via Live Business Entertainment as a musical supervisor and arranger.  Through Live Business he is also the composer for TUI, providing the soundtrack to their Family Life resorts worldwide and the more recent Saga Cruises.

Grant is also Head of  Musical Theatre at The American Musical Theatre Academy. He returned to AMTA from The Urdang Academy, London, where he spent 2 years as Assistant Head of Musical Theatre.  He has also taught at several other academies, including Mountview, Bodywork Company Dance Studio, ArtsEd London and East 15.  When not teaching, Grant can be found working as a jazz pianist or performing with FunXion 5, whilst maintaining his passion for composing and performing original material.
