Q. How much do you charge?


A. When quoting for your event, we take into consideration the distance we have to travel to the venue and how long you would like us to perform for. If you let us know exactly what you're looking for, we would be more than happy to provide you with an individual quotation.

Q. How far will you travel?

A. FunXion 5 will travel anywhere in the UK to perform. We are based in London/Hertfordshire but have performed all over the UK.

Q. How long do you play for?

A. This is entirely down to you. A typical performance could consist of 2 x 60 or 3 x 40 minute sets, but we can be very flexible to accommodate your schedule.


Q. Can you supply music before/in-between your sets?


A. Yes, a MacBook is provided before and during the breaks packed with over 2000 songs, or if you prefer, simply give us your iPod/Phone if you already have a playlist you wish to use.


Q. Will you learn a specific song to play at my event (e.g. First Dance)? 


A. Yes, we are happy to learn one song for your event free of charge. However, don't forget to check our set list on the repertoire page to see if we already know it.

Q. Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?


A. We have three main singers who perform in the band on a regular basis: Leonie, Eleanor and Carla. However, if either are unavailable, we have a selection of other professional singers that dep for us and have performed with the band in the past. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all our performers are of an exceptionally 
high standard.

Q. Do you have different line-up options?

A. Our standard line-up option is a 5-piece band: vocals, guitar, keys, bass and drums. However, we can add a saxophone to our line-up if this is required for your needs and/or a 2nd singer. We can also provide a light jazz trio or a jazz quartet (including a singer) for when something more subtle is required such as whilst guests are dining/conversing. 

Q. Can I pick the songs you play from the set list? 


A. Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.


Q. How long does it take you to setup?


A. It will take us about 90 minutes to set up our equipment and sound check. In order to achieve this, we need to be able to park as near to the venue as possible.


Q. What time do you finish?

A. Our standard finishing time would be 11:30pm/12:00am, however, if you wish for us to play past midnight, there would be an additional fee, which would need to be negotiated.



Q. How much time does it take between finishing playing and being ready to leave? 


A. We need 60 minutes to break down the equipment, pack it away and load up the transport.


Q. Can we use your PA system for speeches?


A. Yes, as long as it is after our sound check then the PA can be used for speeches.


Q. Do you have public liability insurance and is your equipment PAT tested? 


A. Yes, we have full public liability insurance and all of our electrical equipment is PAT tested once a year.


Q. What do you require from us?

A. We need to be able to perform in an area at least 5m wide x 3m deep. There will need to be at least 2 x 13 amp sockets near to where we will be performing. However, we do carry 2 x 30m extension reels with us for when performing outside, such as in a Marquee. There will also need to be somewhere for us to store our music cases and personal belongings. Light refreshments will also be required for up to five/six people.


Q. Where can I see FunXion 5 perform?


A. We play various public gigs throughout the year. We have a schedule on our home page where we list any upcoming performances you are welcome to come and see. However, feel free to drop us an email to see if we have any gigs forthcoming.

Q. How do I book?

Q. Do you require a deposit?


A. Yes, we require a 15% deposit at the time of booking.


Q. When do you require full payment? 


​A. Full payment will be due a week before the performance date via bank transfer.
