Rich Davey - Keys

Richard learnt to play piano by a classical concert pianist. He performed in his first concert at the age of 8. He was later taught by a jazz professor from Middlesex university who happened to be affiliated with jazz legends such as Oscar Peterson and Chick Corea and shared many of their piano secrets. 

Richard graduated from City University at the top of his class where he obtained a masters degree. He obtained a first class degree from Bristol University in Science and taught at both Universities in his early 20s.


Richard has worked for the BBC, Sony, Warner, Plan B and has also performed at many iconic venues in the west end such as Hyde Park, Savoy Hotel, Ronnie Scott's and the Houses of Parliament to name a few. Richard has also performed for Channel 4 and has won a televised national songwriting contest and written scores for a several award winning short films.
 

Richard feels that with his traditional music education and his scientific background, gives him a unique perspective on music. He is also a qualified and experienced sound engineer and will always go that extra mile to make sure the band sounds as good as possible! 
 

Richard currently works as a freelance multi-instrumentalist musician. teacher and producer. He can be found most weekends performing at The Ritz London in Green Park.
